Delete Your PokeScope Data

PokeScope, developed by Endless Loop Apps Inc., allows users to request deletion of the data associated with their account. This page explains what data we store, how to request deletion, what gets deleted, and what (if anything) is retained.

How to Request Deletion

PokeScope uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication, so there is no username or password tied to your account. Your data is linked to an anonymous user ID generated by the app on first launch.

You can request deletion using either of the following methods:

  1. In-app (recommended): Open the PokeScope app, go to Settings → Account → Delete My Data, and confirm. This immediately removes your anonymous account and all associated data from our systems.
  2. By email: Send a request to [email protected] with the subject line “Delete My Data”. To help us locate your account, please include your anonymous user ID (found in the app under Settings → About → User ID) or the approximate date you first installed the app. We will process the request and confirm deletion within 30 days.

Data That Will Be Deleted

Upon a verified deletion request, the following data associated with your anonymous user ID will be permanently removed:

  • Your anonymous Firebase account and user ID
  • Your card collection and tracked cards
  • Scan history and identified cards
  • Personal collection notes, tags, and preferences
  • Wishlists and trade lists
  • In-app settings tied to your user ID

Data That May Be Retained

Some data may be retained after deletion, either because it is anonymized and no longer tied to you, or because retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

  • Aggregated and anonymized analytics (e.g., total scans per day) that cannot be linked back to you are retained indefinitely.
  • Crash logs and diagnostic data collected by Firebase Crashlytics are retained for up to 90 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
  • Transaction and purchase records (if you made any in-app purchases) may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and financial reporting requirements.
  • Email correspondence related to your deletion request may be retained for up to 2 years for record-keeping and legal compliance.

After Deletion

Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If you continue to use the PokeScope app after deletion, a new anonymous user ID will be generated on your next launch, and you will start with a fresh, empty account.
